Lucy Bosscher, Studio Owner & Pilates Instructor

The Hague Pilates instructor Lucy Bosscher

Lucy Bosscher has developed a unique teaching style, strong on verbal cueing and imagery- a nod to her background in languages.

“My primary focus is to empower people by helping them understand their body and use it in the most efficient manner. Grace and elegance is optional”.

Lucy Bosscher has been practising Pilates since 2005. It is curiosity about her own body and movement that led her to pursue Pilates teacher training with Renee Watson, founder of Conscious Movement Education in Cape Town, South Africa in 2007 and subsequently in 2014. ASPIRE Pilates, is part of the Conscious Movement Education international network with studios around the globe from Mauritius to the United Kingdom.

Lucy trained with world’s leading Pilates educators: Rael Isacowitz, founder of the renowned Body Arts and Science International (BASI) and Dr. Bret Anderson, founder of Polestar Pilates and Cara Reeser, leneage carrier of the Cathy Grant work.

Lucy Bosscher strives to continually enhance and perfect her skills and regularly participates in international Pilates conferences and workshops seeking out inspiring teachers and mentors. Having explored different schools of Pilates, Lucy has adopted an evolving view of Pilates and works using a Block System® pioneered by Rael Isacowitz. She is the only Pilates instructor in The Hague to be working using this methodology.

ASPIRE Pilates Studio Equipment

The ASPIRE Pilates studio uses only high quality equipment produced by the premiere manufacturer in the industry, Balanced Body.

The ‘Cadillac’ trapeze table supports fitness and rehabilitation for all ages and abilities. We use it for a variety of exercises — from gentle, spring-assisted sit-ups to advanced acrobatics.

The ‘Allegro2’ is the most intuitive, adjustable, easy-to-use Pilates Reformer on the market. We use it for a range of leg, back, arms and core exercises.

The ‘EXO Chair’ is key for strength building. We use it for exercises that enhance stability, balance and body control.

The studio is also equipped with foam blocks, rollers and mats used for performing numerous exercises within the Pilates regiment.
